Grandparents and Guardians, Inc. is a heart and soul project birthed by visionaries, Kelly and Clyde Bogan, out of their own need for support as guardians of their 5 grandsons. The married couple began taking care of their first grandson from the age of six months, and every grandson thereafter required their care off and on, as their parents were not able to provide for them. Although financially capable of supporting themselves, with the addition of five children, the couple experienced the need for additional finances as well as other support. Unfortunately, assistance and support was not available due to their income exceeding eligibility requirements. Without necessary resources and not yet granted full guardianship, they were limited in their ability to give the boys all they deserved.
After the Bogans were granted full guardianship in 2020, they reflected on the process and realized many other grandparents and guardians would experience hardships even greater than their own. Inspired with a desire to help provide assistance and resources for other families, Kelly and Clyde garnered support from dedicated family and friends and Grandparents and Guardians, Inc. was born.
The founders’ vision is to develop support programs and provide counseling, family training and financial assistance to families that are headed by grandparents and senior guardians who have opened their homes and their hearts to displaced children. Their mission is to ensure the children have access to enriching experiences, education, fresh foods and other opportunities necessary to become happy, healthy, future leaders for our tomorrow.
Please Join them as they work diligently to support grandparents and senior guardians and the children they have been blessed to care for.
